Worked in multi-color silk threads on linen ground, top register with flower and leaf motifs above five alphanumeric rows above a row various crowns and initials of family members, facing birds and trees above maker's name and date, "Margaret Patterson / Aged 8 1810," bottom register with trees and birds and initials ML and HL, all within a Greek key border, presented under glass in a birdseye maple frame.
