Circa 1800, mahogany veneer with light and dark wood edge inlays, serpentine case with hinged lid, divided interior with old red velvet lining, the case with brass bail handles, flush base.

Overall good condition; tight shrinkage cracks to veneer on lid consistent with age; shrinkage cracks to back of case; rear corners with edge loss to sides of case; interior with staining and age appropriate wear; no key.
