The first a "Vanguard" circa 1900, lever set and stem wind, movement #7449353 with twenty-one jewels, the white dial with black Arabic hour markers and spade and whip hands, with outer five minute register and subsidiary seconds dial at the 6:00 hour, the gold filled screw back cover stamped Illinois / Watch Case Co. / Elgin / 4361121, with gold filled watch chain (case 2.25 in. diameter; 18s) (crystal with scratches; dial with cracks; running at time of examination); the second circa 1900, stem wind and set, movement #10095557 with seventeen jewels, the signed white dial with Roman numeral hour markers and blued steel spade hands, with outer five minute register and subsidiary seconds dial at the 6:00 hour, the hinged back case monogrammed in script, signed C.W.C. Co. / 1168260 (case 2 in. diameter; 16s) (case with some dings; running at time of examination); the third a Vanguard, circa 1944, lever set and stem wind, movement #32165462 with twenty-three jewels, the white dial signed Waltham / Vanguard 23 Jewels, with black Arabic hour markers and blued steel spade and whip hands, with outer register and subsidiary seconds dial at the 6:00 hour, the screw back case signed Waltham / Keystone / J. Boss / 10K Gold Filled / 9273075, with gold filled watch chain (case 2 in. diameter; 16s) (case with some dings; running at time of examination).
