Circa 1800, pine secondary, mahogany and mixed wood secondary, two part form, upper case with arched and reeded edge pediment with line, herringbone and flower basket inlays, two hinged flush panel doors with repeating banded inlays as well as corner flower and central conch shell inlays, shelved interior, the base with applied reeded edge, hinged slant front lid with repeating inlays including Prince of Wales plume corners and central warrior and lion inlay, interior with fitted drawers and central hinged prospect door all with geometric banded inlays, green leather writing surface, with two hidden compartments, over four graduated banded cock beaded drawers with inlaid shield escutcheons with old metal/wood pulls, inlaid stiles, scalloped skirt, French bracket feet.

Some veneer chips and lifting to inlays; both doors with shrinkage cracks and/or separation; some old dark staining to interior; later green leather writing surface; drawer interiors with shrinkage cracks; right loper is stuck; one interior pull missing; possible area of loss or shrinkage to left case of prospect door; hidden compartment release not operating correctly; later foot facings.
