Chip Holton grew up in Lexington, North Carolina. After graduating from NC State University in Raleigh, he moved to Greensboro to study art at the UNC-Greensboro. Still calling North Carolina home, Holton's work is found throughout the state. He is currently the artist-in-residence at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro.
