Made in Sweden, designed in a low rectangular form with high collar below a small circular cover, raised on four wedge feet, decorated in silver overlay with a mermaid being attacked by a marlin, a sturgeon on the verso, 1144, signed on the underside.

Wilhelm Kåge’s Argenta series was crafted between 1930 and the 1970s in the Gustavsberg studio, Sweden. The objects were made of stoneware with a mottled deep green glaze, many with a Neoclassical or Art Deco Silver-overlay motif.
