George III Oak Tall Case Clock

18th century, oak case with mahogany veneer, oak secondary, painted metal face with calendar and second dials, later ink for John Smith, Coventry, hood with broken arched pediment with applied cove molding terminating in applied raised circular discs, old central brass urn finial, tombstone door with old wavy glass flanked by fully turned columns with brass caps, shaped waist door with molded edge and banded inlay, flanked by fully turned recessed columns with brass caps, the base with canted corners on shaped bracket feet, with two weights, pendulum, winding key, later case key.

Loose urn finial; denting to finial; insect damage to secondary wood; painted face with crazing and later ink maker's mark; later case key; later bracket foot base; lower left canted corner with small area of fill; hairline crack to lower right side of case at base; hairline cracks to sides of hood case; other areas of age appropriate wear.
