Late 18th century, mahogany veneer, oak and pine secondary, two-part form, dovetailed case, the upper bookcase featuring an applied cove molded cornice with dentil molding above two hinged raised panel doors, the doors, slat lid and drawer fronts featuring high grade figured plum pudding mahogany veneers, upper cabinet with louvered shelves, the desk with hinged slant lid with loper support, the interior with central prospect door, (8) drawers and (8) pigeonholes, the case with two over three cock beaded graduated drawers, raised on bold ogee bracket feet.

Old but later applied cornice; slight warp to the bookcase hinged panel doors; slight warp to the desk lid; lid with full width shrinkage crack; later leather writing surface to interior with wear; interior with staining; later pulls with shadow marks; ogee feet are original but all four have been tipped the lower 2.5 inches.
