This pair of still lifes by a talented, yet unknown, artist are excellent examples of the genre. The first features a Bristol glass pedestal bowl piled high with baked goods rising above a garniture of sweet fruits on the table. The second features a flint glass compote with an artfully arranged group of juicy peaches, the marble tabletop laden with more luscious fruits including an invitingly peeled orange.

Still life with peaches has two repaired tears to sheet; each with minor transfer of pastel to glass; not examined out of the frames.
