Early 20th century, carved pine, full-bodied form, incised numbers "43" and "11" to areas where wing joins the body, otherwise appear unsigned. The example here shows Bellamy-style features including the heavily incised eyes, hooked gaping beak complete with visible curved tongue, the spirit of lifting movement through the concave hollow on the wing undersides, and incised layered feather shapes and textures.

Worn original paint; wood chip in the tail; wooden stake broken off in the base of the bird; applied wings were glued in place, one currently loose.
