A complete overhaul, including massive upgrades, was performed to this car by its owner over the course of twenty years. Originally a big block car, a new GM Performance Parts 454 cubic inch big block V8 engine, a Keisler Engineering modified Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission with a period correct shifter, Stage 1 clutch, and balanced driveshaft were installed. With Holley Street Avenger carburetor, and stainless steel KOOKS headers, an estimated horsepower rating of 450 is conservative. The hood was modified with with a cowl intake with a K&N filter installed, as well as an aluminum radiator and electric FlexLite fans. To improve the suspension, all new a-arms, bushings and rear stabilizer bars from Global West as well as adjustable coil over shocks, and adjustable rear shocks from Viking were added. The rear stabilizer bars were lowered to increase the stability, and a quick ratio steering unit was added. Convertible Corvettes had a removable cross member as opposed to the fixed unit in coupes. To ease furture service, the cross member was made removable. For brakes, Wilwood four piston calipers were used with drilled and slotted rotors. Seventeen-inch US Mag wheels in black with polished lips were used with Nitto T555 255/50ZR17 tires with less than 1000 miles.

The exterior received a new paint job a few years ago in Classic White. The interior was re-done in 2005 in Dark Saddle Leather to include many interior trim pieces also. With air conditioning, and center console mounted controls. A Kenwood stereo replaced the original radio. and with tilt steering wheel and power windows. New chrome mirrors were installed, along with a new fuel tank and hardware. The removable T-Tops have separate pouches for storage, and a car cover included.

From an Enthusiast - Durham, North Carolina

With complete documentation of work performed, and tuning notes; built with Autocross in mind, this car is fast, turns like it's on rails, and stops like it hit a wall; paint and chrome overall are excellent.

Overall wonderful condition; new window seals and gaskets are included but not installed; headlights have been rebuilt; window regulators and door latches replaced; many parts replaced, or upgraded; front bumper with some cracking to paint; no apparent concerns.
