4th quarter 19th century, to include: two of oval form housed in matching dark lacquered wood frames of stepped molding, the first, after Titian's "Vanity", a 16th century work idealizing a beautiful woman holding a mirror which reflects a jewel case, written in pencil en verso "Vanity" and "Giorgione" with impressed stamp "K1" and the second, after Friedrich Augustus Kaulbach, of a young patrician in feathered hat, verso retains antique paper label along with impressed stamp "K1". Two diminutive portrait plaques are included, both oval in form, the image of a boy is marked "E12' on the underside, within a tarnished gilt metal frame (DOA 6 x 4 1/4 in.); the image of an elaborately attired courtesan is unmarked, within a worn silver tone frame (DOA 4 x 3 1/4 in.).
