19th Century Maritime Records for an American Steamer and a British Voyage

The first being a manuscript ledger for the Statesman, a steamer plying Long Island Sound, New York. Manuscript line item entries cover the period 1845 to 1852, meticulously listing goods, passengers, and animals with fees received. Small folio (13 in.) with losses to boards and internal damp stains. The book's contents remain clearly legible (Boards are fair only; internally, good condition or better); the second item is the log of a voyage from London to Calcutta by the Prince of Wales, August 29, 1853 to January 8th, 1854 under the command of W. F. Hopkins, small folio (13 in.), courses, winds, weather, and progress are primary entries. (Binding somewhat loose with some pages disbound
and curling; toned paper with some soiling as expected from a working document; overall good condition.)
