Lot Details & Additional Photographs

VIN: 9113103053 Engine #6134866 Mileage: 107,400

**New Information added; 2nd owner confirmed that he purchased the car with 800 miles from an insurance company, after it was involved in an accident. My inability to determine any evidence of a collision, was verified by him to the quality of the repair. Car is straight. Also the piston and rod upgrade made the car to "E" spec, for increased compression. Also, the car was a half year model and had CIS injection. Some suspension noise, likely bushings, and will need a tune up and service.**

With ownership since 1977, and notes indicating that the original owner blueprinted the 2.4 liter engine and rebuilt with pistons from the "E" model, which increases displacement to 2.7 liters. Fuel injection was new to the 911 in 1973, and provided more reliability and power. This car is designated a T model and was factory fitted with fuel injection, and subsequently has had a Weber carburetion system installed, and certainly internal modifications were performed to allow this. With a five speed manual transmission. An electronic ignition system and special exhaust is present as well. This engine was rebuilt again in 2009, with less than 4000 miles.

Originally Gold, a thorough second repaint in Blue that included the removal of doors, hood, decklid, trim, quarter glass, and bumpers. The first was performed in 1992, and was stripped to bare metal, with all windows removed as well as all trim. New carpet, dash, and headliner were replaced as well. The seats appear to be Recaro seats recovered in leather, per notes.

The Collection of Nelson (Chip) Hague Leonard DDS, Colfax/Kernersville, North Carolina

Chip loved to race. He was competitive in Formula V racing and owned several cars for competition. He raced at road courses all over the east coast, and The Virginia International Speedway was his favorite. This 1973 was Chip's third 911 in 7 years. His first one, a new 1969 model, was totaled by a deer weeks after purchase. The second one met a similar fate. This one however was purchased from Dr. Jim Bales of Greensboro, North Carolina in 1977 and already had some modifications made to it. Chip continued this and this became sort of a hot rod for him, that provided many hours of tweaking and enhancing its performance.

Interior and paint in excellent condition; invoices are present for all major work performed; engine overhaul in 2009 at 100k mileage; repaint in 2018 by Phoenix Body and Paint; window seals and gaskets are like new; speedometer calibration certificate.

With aftermarket MOMO steering wheel; odometer works speedometer does not as well as oil level gauge; a strut brace was installed in the front as well as a custom made battery holder; rear seats are missing leather strap to hold seats upright; 6x9 speaker woofer torn/missing in both doors; drivers seat lower cushion has slight sag; trunk struts need replacing; right rear fender paint has a crack; some minor surface rust to undercarriage, with no areas of concern; no other apparent concerns.
