England, late 19th century, polychrome glazed ceramic, four tile figural compositions, depicting a violinist in Classical dress, the other of a painter at the easel, between tiles of potted orange trees, some tiles marked and numbered to the verso, presented in uniform carved oak frames.

Frame dimensions 37 1/4 x 12 1/2 in.

Some chips and staining to tiles at perimeter; frame backing is loose; frames with some chipping to carved elements.
