The first a charmingly naive painting signed "H. Smithlint" at lower right, oil on artist's board retaining label for Harris & Sons of Plymouth to the verso, presented in a period gilt frame under glass (Frame dimensions 9 3/4 x 14 in.) (some paint loss to sky and lower left in water, not examined out of the frame); the second a painting depicting woman and children by the shore after a work by Philip Sadée (Dutch, 1837-1904), with artist's monogram at lower left and inscribed with Sadée's name at lower right, oil on canvas, presented in a period gilt frame (Frame dimensions 14 x 16 in.) (some loss to frame, light surface grime to painting).
