Late 19th century, Germany, carved wood with glass eyes, the hinged two-part naturalistic seated bear lidded at shoulder with hollow interior, holding barrel in left paw, appears unsigned.

Some shrinkage cracks to wood; scattered chips to barrel, claws, and along legs.
