Two English Mahogany Tea Caddies

Second half of 19th century, the larger with inlaid escutcheon, and turned ring handle mounts to sides, divided interior with two hinge lidded compartments flanking a central round well (6 x 14 x 6 1/8 in.); the smaller with burled veneers to front and lid surrounded by light and dark wood inlay borders, and central silver mount inlay, opens to a dual lidded compartments (5 x 7 7/8 x 4 7/8 in.). Both unmarked.

No keys; lidded compartments with remnants of lining; some scattered tight veneer cracks and surface scratches; smaller caddy with some inlay loss at borders; larger with some rubbing and wear to interior of lid.
