Massachusetts or Connecticut, circa 1770-1780, white pine and chestnut secondary, painted metal face with calendar date dial, second hand surmounted by a draped urn, the hood featuring three turned flame finials, veneered tombstone door, four stop fluted columns, side glass windows, the case with distinctive raised waist door with relief carved shell upper panel, flush base, with three weights and pendulum.

The face with some paint flaking and light pitting; the hood, two finials loose (but present); hood glass door with warp at top; original shell panel reset; base with recessed edge now lacking original feet/molding.
