George III Inlaid Oak Tall Case Clock

18th century, painted metal face with upper ship port scene, floral spandrels, marked for Thomas Hardy, Newark, with second dial, the hood with broken arched pediment with later eagle finial, beaded trim, and inlaid panels, fully turned front columns, hinged glazed tombstone door, the case with a shaped hinged waist door with raised block and corner inlays, inlaid frieze, canted corners with banded inlays and applied acorn half turnings, the base and banded inlays on shaped bracket feet, with two weights, pendulum and case key.

90 x 20.5 x 10 in.
