19th century, Mexico, carved and assembled wood and canvas, gesso and polychrome painted, shaped base with detailed narrative scene of ten purgatorial souls pleading for salvation with Archangel Michael weighing from above, surrounding a centered depiction of Adam and Eve, all surmounted by four carved figures kneeling beneath the crucifixion, appears unsigned.
