Circa 1903, Austrian, designed by Stanislaw Czapek for Friedrich Goldscheider, arched form with brass dial and embossed Arabic numerals, lower left having a figure sounding a large bell, far right with embossed Latin text from Friedrich Schiller's poem Song of the Bell, translated as "I call the living, I mourn the dead, I repel lightning." Verso with impressed stamp of "Friedrich Goldscheider / Wien / F2718 / 2 / 6," Lenzkirch brass works with serial number 446601. Includes later key.
