Lot Details & Additional Photographs

VIN: FC10284A Mileage: 89,900 showing

With the original 152 four cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission with a two speed transfer case and manual locking front hubs. New 255/75-15 General Grabber tires are mounted to 15" navy blue painted steel wheels with a full size spare mounted in the bed.

The first year of production for the Scout, it was the first four-wheel drive vehicle offered other than the Jeep Willys. Its rounded look was a big departure from the Jeep. It had sliding side windows and a folding front windshield, and a removable top. This vehicle retains the frames for the windows, and a top that is unfinished but primered. The exterior is a butternut color paint in excellent condition. The interior painted a navy blue with late model Volvo bucket seats installed. The original bench seat is available, in unfinished condition. The rear seat is finished but not mounted in the truck.

When we received the truck, it wasnt running and It had been in the process of a restoration. Many receipts are available to determine work performed. A body-off restoration was performed with the body chemically stripped to bare metal, a painted frame, new bushings, springs and axles media blasted, and other new parts used. Engine parts were machined and rebuilt. The original chrome pieces were re-plated. New metal was used from Super Scout Specialists for repairs as well as many other parts. The original one barrel Holley carburetor was replaced with a new universal unit, choke cable replaced, fuel filter changed, and the starter was rebuilt in-house.

Seats are cracked due to age, never refinished; top is primed with rust damage present, although repairable; cannot shift transfer case to low range; heater box is not installed; no seatbelts are present; no other apparent concerns.
