Originally from New York, P. Buckley Moss moved south as a young mother with her family. She found inspiration in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and the life and culture of the Amish and Mennonite people in the area.

This particular work is an interesting and unusually abstracted image of the blazing autumn landscape.
