This set includes one circa 1810 chair noted as being made by James Woodard of Norfolk, Virginia; together with seven custom matched replicas noted as being made by Monticello Antiques of Norfolk, Virginia, some with black upholstered seats and brass nail head trim; all chairs are well developed with a straight crest rail having a raised leaf carved block, pierced back with delicate tobacco leaf and drape motif, bowed seat rails, straight tapered front legs, rear down-swept legs.
