Royal Vienna Style, Diminutive Pair of Mantel Vases

Late 19th century, having a pale rose ground painted with a continuous mythological scene of revelry against a gilt band, the socle and shoulder decorated with a running design of gilt leaves, marked on the undersides with blue beehive and gilt flower, both vases signed "Schmidt" on the gold band.

Each vase 9 3/4 in.

Some white enamel dots positioned below the running leaves are worn or missing; faint dark mark to gilt band on the throat, otherwise good.
