The first a gouache and watercolor on paper by Vincenzo Loria (Italian, 1850-1939), signed at lower left, circa 1890, depicting a maenad tormenting a centaur, matted and framed under glass, retaining a label for Sherman Galleries of Newport News, Virginia to verso (Frame dimensions 20 x 21 1/8 in.); the second a watercolor on paper, indistinct signature at lower left, depicting classical ruins on a hillside, matted and framed under glass (Frame dimensions 19 x 15 in.).

The Collection of the late Mr. William Hulbert, Chesapeake, Virginia

Both in good estate condition; neither examined out of the frame.
