Caswell County, North Carolina, mid-19th century, seven-part form, triple paneled back headboard with Gothic arches, set within two octagonal posts, the headboard arched and with applied scrolls, floral, and fruit decoration, center carved cartouche with oval medallion, low footboard with similar applied scrolled and carved designs to each side, each post with distinctive turned finials and suppressed ball feet, with two shaped side rails, unsigned.
