Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN: C1446B146285 Mileage: 74,000
A 7-year restoration with the original 250 cubic inch inline six cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission on the column. The truck was at 70,000 miles before the restoration, and in great shape with no rust. The engine bay was fully detailed except the firewall which was left in original condition to showcase the condition of the truck when it started. A Summit four-barrel 500 CFM carburetor with electronic choke and custom intake were installed and a custom cold air intake from the cowl was fabricated. Headers were added to a custom exhaust with a single exit. A quick ratio power steering unit was added, as well as Classic Air air conditioning for comfort. The front and rear suspension were totally rebuilt with new stock parts and lowered two inches in the front and four inches in the rear. Rally style Chevrolet steel wheels with BF Goodrich tires were added. The brakes were completely replaced and although it still retains the four wheel drum brake setup, it stops very well.
The truck was stripped down to the frame during the restoration, and was treated to rust proofing. Originally Light Blue in color, the body was painted using Mercedes paint codes from the early 1970s. The exterior is Mercedes Light Ivory, while the truck bed, interior doors and dash appear to be Mercedes Pastel White. Ghost flames were painted on the center of the hood. The frame was painted black, and the bed and wheel wells were treated with Raptor Tough coating for durability. All of the rubber seals and weatherstripping were removed and replaced along with all new glass. Many subtle, custom touches were added. A custom fabricated front and rear roll pan, along with recessing the headlight grill, filling the seams of the two-piece hood with lead to make it appear as one piece, filling the stake holes in the bed, and relocating the fuel filler to the inside of the bed are just a few that make this truck unique. The interior was completed with Mercedes Benz blue leather for the seat, door panels and the dash. Grey vinyl was used on the other parts of the seat with new headliner and carpets installed.

From a Collection of a Gentleman In wonderful, better than new condition; cold air conditioning, and easy to drive; photo album of disassembly, and re-assembly is present; transmission linkage feels like new with very precise shifting; the addition of the power steering allows the use of a smaller steering wheel and better road feedback, and the brakes feel sure; the interior is very quiet, with Dynamat material used on body panels; new oil pressure, and water temperature gauges were added.
The following condition report, while thorough, is not exhaustive as vintage cars have inherent wear and imperfections. We welcome personal inspections.
Small ding to drivers door near mirror; slight crack at seam on hood where lead was added to smooth; no other apparent concerns.
