Circa 1825 featuring a design by Thomas Mayer. In the design, the Goddess of Liberty rests against a wall whilst holding a staff topped with the Liberty Cap. Beside her is Ceres, goddess of harvest, with a bountiful cornucopia at her feet, the vignette is surrounded by running tobacco leaves with a plaque "NORTH CAROLINA," the whole beneath a border of flowers and vines.
