Diana Kan was born in Hong Kong in 1926 and studied there with Chang Dai Chien. She also attended the Art Students League in New York and the Beaux Arts in Paris. Ms. Kan's paintings have been displayed in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. In December 2005, the National Arts Club awarded Diana Kan its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Medal of Honor.
