The first worked in multi-color silk on linen ground with alphanumeric rows above pious verse, bottom row with maker's name and date, "Mary Lawty Weaver 1767," housed under glass in contemporary frame (frame dimensions 10.25 x 10.5 in.) (with scattered holes; with thread loss); the second worked in multi color silk threads on linen with alphanumeric rows above maker's name, "Mary E. Mateer," presented under glass in molded frame with gilt liner (frame dimensions 10.75 x 10.25 in.) (some stitch loss).
