19th century; the keepsake box in dovetailed pine construction, two over single drawer chest form with molded top edge, blue linear painted borders over a brown wash (5 1/4 x 8 x 5 1/2 in.) (some rubbing and drying crackle to paint, trim loss to lower left edge, wood loss to one pull); the second a bandbox in oval bentwood construction with wallpaper pasting to exterior, newspaper lined interior dating 1859 (4 x 9 1/2 x 7 1/4 in.) (Some scattered paper loss to decoupage and interior lining).
