Attributed to Happy Valley, North Carolina, circa 1830-1840, two part form, mahogany veneer, white pine and poplar secondary, the upper bookcase with a projecting beveled cornice above a vertically veneered book-matched frieze, two hinged cabinet doors with stylized arch to the upper mullions, louvered shelved interior, the base featuring a pull-out fall-front butler's desk, divided interior with tiger maple drawer fronts above three recessed long drawers, stiles with applied bold scrolled columns, paneled sides, bold scrolled front feet, straight rear feet from the stile.
