After Model 1845, arsenal number14087 on the guard; 30-1/2 in blade; pierced brass guard with floral patterns; wooden grip bound with brass wire; with iron scabbard having a single loop.

Very similar to the Model 1850 foot officer's sword carried throughout the Civil War.

The sword in very good condition with no apparent defects; the scabbard with few minor pushes in the metal.
