1991, artist proof edition 5/5, polished cast bronze, mounted atop a polished black marble base, signed and dated with edition number to lower edge, engraved artist plaque to front reading "INTERFACE / Women are the boundary / Between Heaven and Earth. / No man sets foot on the Earth / Lest he pass through woman first. / JOHN JAGGER SCULPTOR."

Born in Chicago and a Californian at fourteen, John Jagger was a full-time professional sculptor for over 45 years. John received his B.A. in Interior Design and his M.A. in Creative Design from San Jose University. Gifted in working in a variety of scales and sculptural media including bronze, silver, jade, and granite, John's sculptures are known for wildlife, figural, and modernist themes with an emphasis in movement, power, and the natural world. His monuments grace many cities throughout the U.S. and abroad, and his sculptures are included in many private collections.
In 2007, Paso Robles Physician and vineyard owner Warren Frankel commissioned a multi-work monumental installation in bronze and granite for the Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden.

Good estate condition; some white accretions to bronze crevices.
