Late 18th century, Pennsylvania, cherry veneers, poplar secondary, broken arched pediment hood with plinth and applied cornice, four fully turned supports, painted metal face with date dial, bird and floral design to crest and spandrels, the case featuring a hinged waist door with highly figured burl book-matched veneers, banded border surround, flanked by chamfered corner columns with lamb's tongue, the base with veneered tombstone burl panel, with two weights, winding key and pendulum.

All over alligatored surface; central hood finial reset but appears original; later glass; later key/escutcheon at waist; veneer losses at base, some pieces loose but present; lacking feet.
