Early 19th century, mahogany veneer, white pine and poplar secondary, one part form, rectangular recessed secretary with applied edge molding above a vertically veneered frieze with light wood inlaid panels, central prospect door with veneered inlaid tombstone panel opening to reveal a shelved interior, flanked by two tambour doors opening to reveal a vertical document drawer flanked by an upper small drawer above three valanced pigeonholes to each side, above a hinged fold-out writing lid with loper support, three graduated cock beaded drawers, light wood line inlay throughout, scalloped skirt with stylized light and dark wood inlaid band, distinctive and graceful French bracket feet.
