Influenced by the fauvist masters and their use of color and texture, Lenoir's technique captures the essence of the French Riviera. He studied at the L'Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris and exhibited in Paris, Bordeaux and Oslo.

Lenoir lived part of each year in the Souther of France, painting the cites, beaches and boat filled harbors set against panoramic views of the Mediterranean.
