Worked in multi-color silk threads on loose linen ground in a two panel design, left panel with eight alpha-numeric rows above maker's information reading, "Elizabeth Macon Willis Daughter of / Robert and Margaret M. Willis was / born the 6 of June in the Year of our / Lord 1808" above two alphabet rows, and with Greek key and zig zag designs elements, right panel with alphabet stitched in blue and green threads above a penned verse on paper with an early noting that it was, "Written by (illegible) leaf / of a Bible - a gift to his daughter Elizabeth," presented under glass in a painted molded frame.
