This early Southern desk is in 'as found' condition but fully worthy of attention and restoration. Note the drawer bottoms running front-to-back in the 18th century style with rose-head nails; also note the fully developed desk interior with hidden compartments; and further note the original feet.

As found estate condition; lid detached but present; break and repair to left hinge area; surface inconsistency and heavy wear throughout; lid and some drawers with cock beading loss; later pulls with plug hole (originally a bail handle).
