One of North Carolina's most recognized contemporary artists, Lowry studied art and primary education at East Carolina University. She furthered her art studies with Wolf Kahn and Sidney Goodman, developing a technique and palette all her own. Her paintings are included in numerous public and private collections, including the NC Museum of Art.
