English, circa 1820s, rectangular domed form with silverplate ball finial and comforming feet, tortoise shell veneer exterior and radial linear ivory inlay, silverplate escutcheon and inlaid oval cartouche engraved with script monogram, opens to twin lidded compartments with likely original tin lining, unmarked.

Without key; separation to one hinge, lid does not sit flush to base; some small areas of loss to tortoiseshell and ivory; some lifting to veneer on darker cover (possibly later), small area of patch and loss to other lid; areas of bleed to silver finial and feet.
