Paris, first quarter 19th century, rectangular monument with white enamel dial and Breguet hands signed "Fossard Aine a Paris," unmarked brass works, flanked by a finely cast figure of Psyche standing languidly on the left with petal in hand, stringed instrument on the right, and floral filled urn surmount, sarcophagus base having relief panel mount of Psyche and Eros within a wreath, between foliate scrolled anthemion, floral and laurel mount decoration, raised on sphere feet, includes pendulum and keys.

18 1/2 x 12 3/4 x 5 1/8 in.

Some small chips to dial; instrument mount to right is loose; locket that mounts at foot of urn is missing screw; some minor rubbing and spots to gilt; lacking bell. Label to verso indicated clock was last serviced in 2009. Please see Terms and Conditions of Sale: Clocks and Watches.
