Benjamin Eggleston began his art studies at the Minneapolis School of Fine Arts before traveling to Paris. After returning to the United States, he established a studio in Brooklyn. He summered at the Old Lyme Art Colony. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, Brooklyn Society of Artists.
