Twickenham, February 28th, 1853, to Mrs. Richard Boyle, one page, 16mo (6-3/4 in.), reading,"My friend, Mr Morris, brought me the other day a most acceptable gift from yourself your 'Children's Summer' The etchings seem to me for the most part truthfully delicate & beautiful; & if they be, as I am told they are, a first attempt in etching, really marvelous. Believe me, madam Yours very thankfully A Tennyson." Presented behind mat in a wooden frame (11-3/4 x 13-3/4 in.) with an engraved portrait.
