Two Porcelain Boxes, Herend and Mottahedeh

The first a Herend Rothschild Bird card box, model number 7522, with divided interior to hold two decks of playing cards (2 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 5 in.); the second a Mottahedeh box designed as a wicker basket surmounted by a yellow songbird, made in Italy (5 1/2 x 7 1/4 x 4 3/4 in.). Both marked to undersides.

The Estate of the late Frank Daniels, Jr. and his wife Julia Jones Daniels, Raleigh, North Carolina. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the North Carolina Museum of History Foundation

Good estate condition.
