Revolutionary War Era Map Featuring the Battle of Camden, South Carolina

(London: John Bew, 1780), copperplate engraving by John Lodge titled A New and Accurate Map of North Carolina, and Part of South Carolina, with the Field of Battle between Earl Cornwallis and General Gates. This map was hot-off-the-press when it was published in Britain only 3-1/2 months after Cornwallis trounced Gates in South Carolina. The American forces would, of course, rally and bring down Cornwallis the following year at Yorktown. Presented in a carved and gilt frame.
