Paris, second half 19th century, serpentine rosewood multi-hinged case featuring burlwood panels surrounded by ebony and brass inlaid borders, lid with ornate inlaid brass and mother of pearl cartouche having period script monogram, brass lock signed "R. GUYOT / A PARIS / 24 / r / des Gravilliers," raised on four turned feet, opens to a removable ormolu caddy with four crystal decanters (8 in.) and six footed cordials (2 7/8 in.), crystal unmarked, includes key.

Some shinkage; crack to upper right rear corner; some scattered veneer loss to ebony borders; one decanter with significant loss; one cordial a later replacement; case is fitted for (16) cordials, only six present.
