Massive Civil War Era 35-Star United States Building's Parade Flag
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
This huge sewn linen banner is approximately 11 ft. on the hoist and 20 ft. on the fly; placement of a 35th star on the United States flag acknowledged the July 4, 1863 admission of West Virginia to the Union. This large flag was likely hung from a building or an archway during a patriotic civic event.

Some losses and old repairs; the blue canton and red stripes retain good color; the white stripes are toned; overall good condition.
